WETLAB-USE Network of reference Labs assessing environmental quality for water uses

The object of the “WETLAB-USE” project is to create a mechanism to support water quality assessment processes and harmonize them with the Water Framework Directive issued by the European Union (WaterFrameworkDirective) in order to modernize the process of granting water use permits in public and private bodies (or individuals).

Contribution

EUROACTION A.E. in the context of the “WETLAB-USE” project, he took over the management and coordination of the project from the side of the Decentralized Administration of Macedonia – Thrace (Lead Partner).

Individual actions implemented as part of the project concern the creation of an electronic register and digital applications to support water users, which was implemented in three phases: a) application study and analysis of requirements, b) development of digital applications and c) pilot operation of the system and user training, as well as the preparation of a study aimed at recording the carrying capacity of monitoring at river basin level and inter-laboratory methodology for calibration and debugging of the data from a network of three laboratories.
