Re – enforce Optimal Actions and Development Strategies

The “ROADS” project aims to improve and expand the secondary road network to strengthen the transport infrastructure of Greece and Bulgaria, and support their competitiveness through sustainable development in the program area. The project involves two small-scale interventions: the Municipality of Oriokastro widened the Pentalofos-Neochorouda road, which is connected to Egnatia Odos, and the GotseDelchev Municipality reconstructed the Breznica-Charka road. This project is important because of the high number of vehicles passing through the cross-border area due to the industrial nature of the region, and the positive impact it will have on the local community.

Contribution

EUROACTION S.A. formulated the project proposal, secured funding, and provided technical and advisory support for the management and implementation of the project in the Municipality of Oreokastro.
