TAF/TAP TSI (Technical Specification for Interoperability relating to Telematics Applications for Freight/Passenger Services)

The TAF/TAP TSI program aims to define data exchange between infrastructure managers and railway undertakings, and it also describes their business processes. This affects international rail infrastructure processes, and it must be implemented consistently by all TAF/TAP TSI partners, including infrastructure managers.

Contribution

The company Euroaction S.A. undertook the preparation of the technical specifications, in order to draw up the tender documents, for the implementation of the TAF/TAP-TSI project by OSE SA. The objective of the activity is the detailed description of the existing situation, the operational requirements of the system under development, the impact study on the operation of the OSE which will result from the development of the various subsystems of the TAF/TAP-TSI system. Furthermore, beyond the impact study, the activity will focus on the necessary reorganization of the OSE with the aim of the efficient operation of the TAF/TAP-TSI system.

It is expected that the operation of the OSE TAF/TAP-TSI system will lead to the simplification of various time-consuming and costly procedures. With the aim of maintaining the leading role of OSE within the Hellenic Railway Network and strengthening the effect of the telematics system, an exploitation plan will be drawn up. Through this plan, OSE will become a model for other Infrastructure Managers within Corridor VII of the European Rail Network.
